to give the people a voice

The St. Dunstan's family, direct and extended, has been called to action, my friends. Events that cannot be explained, and losses that cannot be measured leave us all feeling that tug inside us, calling us to act, to dive in, to step forward and help. To give whatever is needed, to say whatever can be said, and to give without pause or thought of any consequence. How to do what we are all feeling called to do is another thing entirely.

My hope for this forum is that it will be a place for everyone to make their voices heard, to in some small way communicate the support, love and compassion that I no doubt we all want to extend to the Brooks and Higdon families.

I do not know any better than anyone else the best way to help. I'm hoping that seeing pictures of their friends gathered in support and mourning, reading comments and well-wishes will somehow comfort them... that they will at least know that they are dearly loved, and that there is a venerable army of people standing with them when they feel as though they are completely alone. We all love you. We all share your sadness. We are here: for whatever, whenever.

love,
j.scott

The Brooks & Higdon families are in our thoughts and prayers. We know you will call upon your deep faith in God to see you through this incredibly difficult and sad time. We at St. D's met in the Greek to console each other, to pray, and to sing "Amazing Grace." We stand ready to assist in any way we can. Sandy and Ed Prokopp

One of the most meaningful sermons
I've heard in my life, was based on two words found throughout the old and new testament; "But God..."

Oh dear friends, "But God!"
